Much of the city’s business takes place in City Hall. We are located at 196 South Main Street and in the heart of downtown. Public parking is available both on the street and a parking lot behind City Hall. Normal business hours for City Hall are Monday through Friday 8:00a.m. – 4:00p.m. The public is always welcome to stop by and we will be glad to assist you.
Versailles is a city council form of government with six council members. Council members serve a two year term and the Mayor serves a four year term. Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 5:30p.m. in the council chambers of City Hall. All official city meetings are scheduled in advance and are open to the public. If you have a matter that you would like to address the Council with, or to be placed on the agenda for a council meeting, please contact Ariel O'Reel, Assistant City Clerk, at aoreel@versaillesky.com or (859) 873-5436 by noon on the Friday prior to the regularly scheduled meeting.

As local officials and public servants, the Mayor and Versailles City Council members deal with many individuals and issues on a daily basis. They often address constituent concerns and community issues. The Mayor and City Council enact codes, rules and regulations for the general public’s health, safety and welfare.
