The City of Versailles is currently seeking applications for two Public Works Department positions:
- Maintenance Worker - a permanent, entry-level position that involves primarily outdoor work and includes mowing, weedeating, street maintenance, and possible water and sewer line maintenance, etc. Hours are 7:30a.m. - 4:00p.m. Monday through Friday; some overtime may be required. The successful candidate will possess a valid Kentucky driver's license and will be required to acquire a Class B CDL license within six months. High school diploma or GED required. Starting hourly pay is minimum of $11.61; experience pay considered. 100% employee health insurance and retirement benefits are included.
- Senior Equipment Operator - a full-time position in the Water Distribution System. Must possess a valid Kentucky driver's license, a Class III Water Distribution license and a Class B commercial driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The City maintains employment applications on file for two years. The employment application is available for download below or you can pick one up in person at City Hall. Applications must be filled out in their entirety and can be submitted by mail, email, or in person during regular business hours.
